Applications and Databases
Installation of typical applications like Microsoft Office or financial apps like Quickbooks and Peachtree. Create user accounts and work with software vendors for troubleshooting and upgrades.
Create, implement and monitor backup jobs for local and online remote storage. Test jobs and perform disaster recovery when needed. See next page for details on online backups.
Create and configure email accounts with online vendors or setup Microsoft Exchange server for own email hosting. Configure and train personnel is needed on using Outlook, Outlook Web Access or other email client. Maintain antivirus and antispam up-to-date.
File and Folder Management
Per management input, organize all shared "Home" and Department" folders with correct user-access permissions and train personnel if needed on saving and opening files.
Provide couteous and professional customer support on any IT related issue. Quick reponse whether it be onsite, by phone, email or remote access support. Work with hardware and software vendors for proprietary issues.
Create voice and data design and install ethernet cabling. For large jobs, consult with reputable vendors and manage all installation. Install, configure and monitor router, broadband connections, and switches.
Either in workgroup or Active Directory enviornment, create computer users and groups. Implement local and group policies if needed. Install and adjust as needed firewall and antivirus resources.
Setup network and local printers for copying, printing, scanning and email.
Install remote access services using VPN or Terminal Services and configure users for secure access.
Setup and troubleshoot basic phone service and voicemail. Configure cell phones (Blackberry or Mobile PC) with email services.
Introduce to partner company for website creation. Install and configure file access on web with programs as Outlook Web Access or Microsoft SharePoint.
Setup onsite access points or point-to-point between nearby sites.
